As promised, a new tower and galactic, as well as more extras!

New Stuff

  • New tower: Airhorn!
    • A new tower after a decent wait, and another community suggestion!
    • Originally suggested by aecrostudio on scratch, the tower has been changed to reduce overlap with other towers, including the Airhorn being able to turn and damaging blocks in an AoE cone instead of firing a spray of armour piercing bullets.
    • The Naval Airhorn can upgrade to knock back blocks with soundbreaking blasts of wind, buff all nearby water towers and fire bouncing grenades, deploy long lasting mines on nearby track, and set the air itself on fire!
  • New galactic: Light Keeper!
    • The Hero of Light can switch between constant death rays and a hypercharged omni beam to wreak havoc on the blocks.
  • 5 MORE power and puzzle challenges!
  • Roguelike
    • New card: Multi Target!
      • Common card. Projectiles gain extra base damage equal to 30% of their total aerial bonus.
    • New card: Megaphone!
      • Common card. +1 pierce to Airhorns' blasts of air.
    • New card: Heartbreak!
      • Uncommon card. +40% damage to Regens.
    • Multi Target in particular was designed for extra synergies with strategies not currently supported by other cards.
  • Separated towers' damage dealt and money generated counters
    • Toggle between the counters by simply pressing the damage or money icon
  • Improved some sprites

Misc Changes

  • Power Challenge
    • Power 2
      • Silver requirement $1,400 → $1,200
      • Gold requirement $700 → $800
    • Power 4
      • Gold requirement $2,000 → $2,500
    • Puzzle 2 
      • Silver requirement $2,000 → $1,800
      • Gold requirement $1,000 → $1,200
    • Puzzle 4
      • Gold requirement $300 → $320
    • Puzzle 9
      • Starting cash increased $30,000 → $33,000
      • Silver requirement $25,000 → $27,500
      • Gold requirement $20,000 → $22,000
    • Puzzle 13
      • Difficulty changed Hard → Easy
    • Requirements for certain challenges have been shifted to counteract the balance changes below, and to make gold medals easier to obtain, but making it possible to fail silver if you're not careful.

 Game Mode Changes

  • Roguelike
    • Air Splitters
      • Can no longer be duplicated or picked multiple times
    • DNA
      • Now duplicates a random card, not based off of luck
      • DNA currently feels awkward to use on low rarity cards, limiting possible synergies and strats with it.
  • Projectile Morph
    • Blacklisted aces and acid pools
    • This should patch up most of the absurdly broken combos that could be done and allow this game mode to actually be challenging.

 Block Balance Changes

  • Bosses
    • Aliens Block
      • No longer avoids targeting Freezers and bottom path Ships
      • No longer ignores targeting Buffers
      • Stunned towers no longer grant buffs or generate income
      • Playing into the Alien's gimmicks of hurting your defense and being a general nuisance.

 Tower Balance Changes

  • Lots of price shifting, with the main goal of differentiating towers with similar roles.
  • Basic
    • xx4 Anti-Boss Cannon attack speed increased 3s → 2.25s
    • xx5 Instability attack speed remains at 2.25s
    • Anti-Boss Cannon has been neglected :(
  • Cannon
    • 5xx Blitzkrieg cost reduced $3,200 → $2,700
    • x5x Ballistic Shark cost increased $3,600 → $4,100
    • Currently Ballistic Shark and Blitzkrieg are in a similar price range, and currently Ballistic Shark is dominating the latter. Fitting with the recent price reductions to top path, some of Blitzkrieg's cost is being moved to the Angry Whale to separate their prices.
  • Splitter
    • 4xx Oven Breakdown cost reduced $350 → $250
    • 4xx Oven Breakdown damage reduced 3 → 2
    • 4xx Oven Breakdown pierce increased 30 → 40
    • 5xx Meteor Shower unchanged
    • x3x Razor Blades pierce increased 4 → 5
    • 230 Razor Blades pierce increased 8 → 10
    • xx4 Red Death cost increased $700 → $725
    • xx5 Hyperdrive cost reduced $2,900 → $2,800
    • Oven Breakdown is currently too similar to top path Friskus due to being in a similar price range - it'll now be moving to somewhere in between 3xx and 4xx Friskus, with stats in between them as well. Razor Blades is getting a pierce increase to match the new Oven Breakdown in power. After testing, Red Death's price cut was not needed as it is the star of the path, with the buff being shifted to Hyperdrive instead.
  • Freezer
    • 1xx cost reduced $15 → $10
    • 3xx Ice Weakening cost increased $210 → $220
    • 5xx Cold Front cost reduced $2,100 → $2,050
    • x4x Hail Storm cost reduced $330 → $300
    • x5x Avalanche cost reduced $1,500 → $1,400
    • xx1 cost reduced $30 → $20
    • xx3 Extreme Ice cost increased $160 → $175
    • Freezer is getting price shuffling between upgrades to give inferior crosspaths and upgrades more edge use cases.
  • Ship
    • Category changed Primary → Military
    • 4xx Battleship missile attack speed increased 0.672s → 0.6s
    • 5xx Ace Carrier planes now also gain an attack that fires 2 missiles every 1.5s
      • 5 damage, +20 elite bonus (25 total), +5 aerial bonus (10 total), 10 pierce, Explosion
    • Ship's category is changing, as it feels more militaristic than other primary towers. Battleship has become outscaled by other midgame carries like Bullet Hell. Ace Carrier is still in need of a reliability boost, so the planes are now gaining extra homing attacks.
  • Hangar
    • 2xx cost increased $100 → $120
    • 3xx Advanced Biplane cost reduced $350 → $330
    • 4xx Military Jet cost reduced $620 → $600
    • x2x cost reduced $95 → $85
    • x3x Omni-Gun cost increased $200 → $210
    • x4x Bullet Storm plane front bullet attack speed reduced 0.1s → 0.1333s
    • x4x Bullet Storm plane radial bullet attack speed reduced 0.7s → 0.8s
    • x5x Festive Delivery plane attack speed unchanged
    • After nerfs to other overtuned options, Bullet Storm has begun to outperform even its strongest competitors like Optical Focusing, so it's time this tower also takes a hit.
  • Friskus
    • x3x Aerial Throws cost increased $150 → $170
    • x4x Iron Alloy cost reduced $450 → $430
    • Aerial Throws is getting a slight price hike as it provided too much value for only $150. Iron Alloy's total cost will remain unchanged.
  • Saving the best for last - Light Keeper
    • Base pierce increased 14 → 15 
    • 4xx Solar Power damage reduced 15 → 10
    • 4xx Solar Power elite bonus reduced +12 → +8 (27 → 18 total)
    • 4xx Solar Power max damage and pierce from charging increased x3 → x6
    • 4xx Solar Power charge per second increased x0.3 → x0.6
    • 5xx Hadron Collider pierce reduced 20 → 15
    • 5xx Hadron Collider max damage and pierce from charging increased x5 → x9
    • 5xx Hadron Collider charge per second increased x0.3 → x0.6
    • 510 Hadron Collider pierce reduced 32 → 25

    • Light Keeper is getting a pierce increase across most upgrades, especially middle path, as it gets pierce capped too often to be good against the crowds it's meant to counter. Solar Power and Hadron Collider will charge faster and have higher damage caps, but lowered base damage to incentivise stalling.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed randomising towers in Tower Morph sometimes causing some towers' ranges to be inflated
  • Fixed Projectile Morph not changing each tower's set of attacks into different projectiles
  • Fixed loading a game sometimes changing the end round
  • Fixed Age of Glaciers aura flickering extremely rapidly in 60 FPS mode
  • Fixed Power Challenge 3 gold medal being nigh impossible to get
  • Fixed Power Challenge 7 having incorrect medal descriptions
