The Kukri-X has landed...
New Stuff
- New map: Labyrinth!
- The Labyrinth's 4 lanes and limited space is so difficult that the space that is available provides extraordinary buffs to towers placed on them.
- New boss: Kukri-X!
- Harnessing a frontal Aegis, unprecedented levels of speed, and 4 skulls, the Kukri-X leaves no room for error.
- Warning: this boss is significantly harder than the rest, so play carefully and strategically!
- 5 MORE gauntlet-difficulty Power challenges!
- Significant performance optimisations (especially when pausing the game)
General Changes
- Instant turning projectiles (e.g top path Friskus) turn rate increased 180 → 999
- This fixes some minor inconsistencies where these projectiles can sometimes take an extra frame to fully retarget.
- Projectile pierce no longer rounds up
Map Specific Changes
- Cactus Lake
- UI buttons and text (Round, Money, Lives) are now positioned in the bottom left corner
- It's been requested for a while and I kind of just forgot, but enjoy a much less interfering experience on this map :D

Boss Specific Changes
- Misc
- Red Diamond now has a unique frozen effect instead of using the Saturn frozen effect
- Frozen effects now adjust in size and shape as the boss gets visually damaged
- Red Diamond
- Tier 1 skull spawns changed Diamond x40 → Diamond x20, BlueSkull x3
- Tier 2 skull spawns changed Diamond-54 x60 → Diamond-54 x30, BlueSkull x13
- Tier 3 skull spawns changed Diamond-180 x96 → Diamond-180 x48, DoubleSkull x7
- Tier 4 skull spawns changed Diamond-1800 x40 → Diamond-1800 x20, Saturn x5
- Tier 5+ skull spawns Diamond amount halved, added Saturn x22
- Red Diamond's skull spawns were just a bit too bland and uninteresting - time to spice things up a little!
- Rutrix Cube
- Tier 5+ Explosion Cube base HP increased 300,000 → 330,000
- Tier 5+ Purple Cube base HP reduced 60,000 → 55,000
- Tier 5+ Sharp Cube base HP increased 112,500 → 125,000
- Some more tidying up of some minor cube discrepancies.
- Shield Prime
- Tier 3 HP increased 80,000 → 88,000
- Compared to other bosses at tier 3, Shield Prime doesn't ramp quite high enough so this has been resolved.
Tower Specific Changes
- Basic
- 5xx Psuedo-Conjurer bolt attack speed reduced 0.9s → 1.05s
- Obligatory top path basic nerf :)
- Cannon
- Flashing Rain stun-bomb damage increased 50 → 200
- Flashing Rain stun-bomb elite bonus reduced +400 → +200 (450 → 400 total)
- Flashing Rain stun-bomb aerial bonus reduced +400 → +200 (450 → 400 total)
- The galactic for the most well-known cleanup tower not having any cleanup itself felt jarring so the stun-bombs will be seeing some of their elite and aerial bonus shifting down into base damage.
- Splitter
- 5xx Meteor Shower cost reduced $4,500 → $4,400
- [bugfix] 520 Meteor Shower meteor attack speed reduced 2.6s → 3s
- Compensating for the bugfix with a price drop, as the upgrade doesn't quite have the multi-skull damage to clear the 40s.
- Freezer
- 203 Extreme Ice tickrate increased 2.4s → 1s
- 205 Elite Halt tickrate increased 2.4s → 0.4s
- Age of Glaciers aura no longer flashes when given attack speed buffs
- Age of Glaciers freeze-ring now triggers passively
- Age of Glaciers freeze-ring attack speed reduced 0.05s → 0.5s
- Age of Glaciers freeze-ring pierce increased 4 → 40
- 203 Extreme Ice recently lost its second damage tick on elites due to the freeze duration lowering which was an oversight. To compensate the tickrate is increasing significantly as this is already the worse crosspath. Age of Glaciers' freeze-ring clumping elites together right as they enter the range wasn't visually appealing.
- Buffer
- Last Stand transform cooldown increased 30s → 45s
- Last Stand transform duration increased 10s → 15s
- Last Stand's cooldown is increasing to not penalise higher levels, as currently level 10 and higher results in the cooldowns of it and Cyan Chimes to be desynced.
- Flamethrower
- Paragon of the Underworld
- Base beam damage increased 80 → 120
- Primary
- v2 beam damage increased 90 → 130
- v4 beam damage increased 105 → 150
- v6 beam damage increased 120 → 180
- Military
- v3 missile elite bonus increased +240 → +420 (250 → 430 total)
- v3 missile aerial bonus increased +80 → +140 (90 → 150 total)
- v4 missile elite bonus increased +450 → +810 (460 → 820 total)
- v4 missile aerial bonus increased +150 → +270 (160 → 280 total)
- v6 missile elite bonus increased +900 → +1,500 (910 → 1,510 total)
- v6 missile aerial bonus increased +300 → +500 (310 → 510 total)
- The sheer size and quantity of reworks last update left no room to play around with some of the damage numbers of each attack, which left Military tributes in a weak spot and Omni tributes relatively overpowering. Since the tower itself is actually on the lower end for its price a nerf to the razors isn't really the right direction.

- Small but notable nerfs have piled up on the x4x upgrade, and it just isn't the powerhouse it used to be. Doubling down on the recent flamethrower price shifts, bottom path Hangar has had a similar situation over several updates so the cost is being doubled for tiers 3 and 4. Additionally the deploy rate is dropping heavily to make the path feel more like the "nuke button" it was meant to be.

- 4xx Degrowth Solution stun duration on multi-skulls reduced 0.2s → 0.15s

- 5xx Chemothermal Fissure pierce and stun duration unchanged
- 5xx Chemothermal Fissure acid pool size increased 36 → 40
- 520 Chemothermal Fissure acid bullet size increased 6.5 → 8.667
- 130 Rotor Sabotage acid bullet size reduced 8.5 → 8.167
- 140 Gun, Line and Sabotager acid bullet pierce increased 2 → 3

- previous value was intended to be 10
- While the 2xx crosspath is underutilised, the higher tier upgrades have consistently been very powerful despite nerfs. For now, pierce and pool size are being increased to incentivise this crosspath, but with reduced stun duration for the 3xx and 4xx to knock them down a peg and to neutralise the extra pierce.
- Friskus
- 3xx Targeted Discs cost increased $150 → $170
- x3x Aerial Throws cost reduced $170 → $150
- Alternate Trio all frisbees can now rehit blocks after 0.3s
- Alternate Trio all frisbees no longer have base HP damage bonuses
- Alternate Trio transform2 frisbee damage reduced 200 → 100
- Alternate Trio transform2 now gains mega-scythe attack
- 1,000 damage, 8 pierce, 0.65s attack speed, Sharp
- extra damage: 0.5% of base HP up to +5,000
- extra extra damage: 1.5% of missing HP up to +15,000
- splits into 5 mini-scythes on expiry, which have 0.2x base damage, max damage bonus and 0.5x pierce
- After the recent buff to top path, it felt needed to swap the tier 3 prices of top and middle to reflect that. Speaking of which, now that rehitting bouncing funbees have settled down, it's time for them, and the Scythes from bottom path, to find its way into the galactic!
- Light Keeper
- 5xx Hadron Collider electron damage reduced 30 → 20
- Improved buff icons for x5x Power Divergence
- Hero of Light now grants max x5x Power Divergence buffs to ALL other Light Keepers
- Towers' pierce rounding up made Hadron Collider hilariously overpowered in bosses; that has been fixed alongside this small nerf. The Hero of Light not giving buffs to other Light Keepers (the whole mechanic of middle path) didn't fit, so this has been changed to hopefully add extra lategame and boss value to Light Keeper spam strategies.
- Airhorn
- x5x Admiral Vessel and Technological Ruins now also grants +15% pierce to all nearby water towers
- x5x Admiral Vessel and Technological Ruins mines no longer expire at end of round
- x5x Admiral Vessel mine deploy speed reduced 4.4s → 5.5s
- Technological Ruins air cone damage increased 160 → 240
- Technological Ruins air cone pierce increased 8 → 14
- Technological Ruins inferno focus damage reduced 66 → 40
- Technological Ruins inferno beam now deals damage (0 → 8)
- Admiral Vessel's mines and buffs never saw much use so this should help them have more of a presence. While the inferno attack having more power amongst the galactic's attacks was intended, it having such a high amount that it ends up becoming a single-target powerhouse was not, so damage is shifting into the weaker cone attack along with some extra pierce.
- Bug Fixes
- Fixed bosses not being invulnerable to status effects during shield animations
- Fixed non-seeking projectiles with non-linear motion being affected too much by Growth
- Fixed x5x Light Keepers not receiving extra damage from nearby x4x
- Fixed Restricted Zone meteor and Silver's Return bomb projectile pierce being buffable
